Milestones updated

Have you been keeping up with the weekly Milestones?  This week has been so much fun – Lots of mommy/Evelyn time and even rolling over!

Fifteen Weeks: Yeah for Christmas break!  No school, no school!  You and mommy have had lots of time together singing jingle bells, giving smiles, and practicing giggles.  You are getting pretty good at all of them and its a good thing since we need to show off your skills to all the family so soon!

You are also becoming quite the chunk – 13lb 5 oz at the weight check this week.  (Mom had to move your six month clothes into your dresser!)  You love hanging out and showing off your tummy time while checking out the other babies.  While mom was talking to the nice coordinator, you up and rolled over.  She wouldn’t have believed it but there were lots of witnesses and you definitely had been on your tummy but were now on your back.  Silly baby – you aren’t supposed to grow up yet!

You also got to meet Santa for the second time.  We did a Santa picture last month but we’ll just count that as practice since Santa didn’t have a real beard.  We know this second Santa was definitely for real though since you gave his beard a nice tug.

Sleepy Times Two

Just waking up from a nap. Hands above head, working hard on that pacifier. I know, I know…she’s on her belly and there are BLANKETS on her. Shame on me…but the girl sleeps and isn’t that what we all want?

You can really see those chubby, chub cheeks from this view!

Give me a giggle

This little gal is such a cutie – too bad she only gives out giggles once in a blue moon.  Oh well, I’ll keep trying.

Mommy working hard for a giggle and having to settle for sweet faces instead.

Looker

You can see me here studying art.

Baby Monet images are so fascinating, don’t you think?

And that Vivaldi guy?  Genius!

Ok, enough of this chit chat.

Don’t bother me, I really need to brush up on my Mandarin.

This girl is so into watching things now. She’s gone from just seeing to reallllly watching and is a fan of these silly Baby Einstein videos. So many colors, sounds, and funny puppets.

They call me “Jumper, Double Chins”

This jumper thing is rad.  I can use my feet and not fall over.  I can see my toys without going cross-eyed.  I can use my hands without hitting myself in the face.  Plus, I was getting kinda tired of looking at that fan.  New views everywhere from this thing!

Second time in the Johnny Jumper. Complete with a double chin, doggies, and annoying mommy voices.

PS – I’ve already gotten way better at this thing!  Mommy needs to keep things current!

Daddy Jams

Daddy still likes to make me dance.  Last time you saw me I was just a baby — but this time I’m big and I like to play my invisible piano!  I guess I’ll let Daddy be my back-up singer.

Playing on Daddy’s knee. Who needs a lullaby when we’ve got The Black Keys!

Fan of the fan

If all else fails, put the girl on the floor to see the fan.  It doesn’t hurt to include a tasty giraffe as well.

Evelyn’s view from her play mat. That thing is actually really amazing to watch from her view. It might actually be our best toy/friend. Needless to say, she’s a fan.

Chilling out, watching the fan … licking on giraffes. All in a good day.

Toy Story

First time reaching and being really interested in toys. Go, go gadget arms! (and hiccups!)

Little Puppet

Sometimes her flapping arms can control her kicking feet. Baby Puppet!

One-Armed Baby Bandit

Here’s a funny from yesterday’s nap.  Silly baby lost her arm and only has a sneeze to say for herself.  Silly baby, indeed!
